Hi! I’m Emily Durand, I use they/she pronouns, and I am a queer, nonbinary, and disabled Covid-conscious care worker who approaches their community with kindness and compassion. I practice across three pillars:

Doula Services
Birth and Pregnancy Doula Support
Birth and pregnancy doulas offer support during pregnancy, the birth itself, and the immediate postpartum period. Whether you are planning a vaginal birth or C-section in a birth center or hospital, a doula can help provide information, education and skill building, and emotional support.
This package includes:
2-3 prenatal visits (2 hours each, virtual or in-person)
Assistance writing a birth wish list
Birth attendance (virtual or in person)
Monthly phone calls (up to 30 minutes each)
Continuous text, call, and email support
On call starting at 37 weeks of your pregnancy
Support during immediate postpartum period within two weeks after birth (one 4-hour visit or two 2-hour visits)
*Can be bundled with Postpartum Doula Support or other offerings!
Abortion Doula Support
Abortion doulas offer support for those seeking to end their pregnancy. Whether you are self-managing your abortion or going in-person, an abortion doula can share information and offer emotional and tangible support.
This package may include:
One 1- to 2-hour phone or Zoom call before the abortion
Continuous text, call, and email support beginning 1-2 weeks before the abortion
Abortion attendance (virtual or in person)
Emotional support, guidance, and education for you and/or your loved ones
Tangible support, such as meal preparation or light housekeeping
One 1-hour phone or Zoom call two weeks after the abortion
Postpartum Doula Support
Postpartum doulas offer support in the period following birth. In my practice, I see postpartum as forever: birth is often a transformational process, whether you will be parenting your baby or are serving as a surrogate. I would be honored to support you wherever you are at in your postpartum journey.
The virtual package includes:
4, 8, or 16 hours of support (2-hour video calls)
Emotional support, guidance, and education for you and/or your family
Continuous text, call, and email support
The in-person package includes:
12, 24, or 40 hours of support (4-hour visits)
Continuous text, call, and email support
Emotional support, guidance, and education for you and/or your family
Tangible support, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and baby care
Pregnancy Grief and Loss Support
If you are experiencing grief around a pregnancy loss, you deserve care and support. While I do not provide therapy, I would be happy to help connect with resources, share information and offer other types of support.
The virtual package includes:

Emotional support, guidance, and education for you and/or your family
Continuous text, call, and email support
The in-person package includes:
4, 8, or 16 hours of support (4-hour visits)
Assistance writing your loss story

Emotional support, guidance, and education for you and/or your family
Tangible support, such as meal preparation and light housekeeping
Note: As an immunocompromised person, I wear an N95 mask, often with a SIP valve, at all in-person services. To help protect me, I ask that you also wear a KN95 mask or better (such as an N95) when not in labor and/or having an abortion. I also ask that you take two rapid Covid tests before we meet, where applicable - one the day before we meet and one the morning of. If you test positive and/or show symptoms of vomiting, sore throat, runny nose, fever, muscle weakness, etc., please let me know and we will switch to a virtual meeting or reschedule.
